Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement spanning across the BC interior due to an incoming, and extremely cold, arctic airmass.

Residents are being told to prepare for “bitterly cold air” as temperatures are expected to plummet.

The Yellowhead, Columbia and southwest interior regions will dip to as low as -30 with windchill values by tomorrow morning and the Kootenays to follow later in the evening.
