Spring snow continues for southern mountain passes today, Environment Canada warns.

A special weather statement has been issued for the Coquihalla Summit, Allison Pass, Paulson Summit and Kootenay Pass.

Upper trough will persist over BC today resulting in unstable atmosphere. Convective flurries will continue through tonight and may produce local amounts of 5 to 10 cm.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
