This weekend is shaping up to be a chilly one after Environment Canada, progressively shows how cold it’s about to get. 

Early in the week, we were predicted to see a 20 or 30% chance of rain, and that has now gone up to 60 and 70% chance. So, if you haven't already it's time to bring out that trusty umbrella. 

Friday, expect a mix of sun and cloud in the morning with a high of 15°C, and a 30% chance of showers later in the afternoon, it’ll continue overnight as we drop down to 4°C. 

Saturday, rain and a high of 14°C, precipitation will last throughout the day as we sink to 4°C in the evening. 

Sunday, a 70% chance of showers and getting up to 11°C and we’ll see our chilliest night this week with a low of 3°C. 

EVENTS, don’t worry a lil rain can’t stop you from going out and having a bit of fun this weekend. 

The Okanagan Wine Festival is up and running and will go right until May 15.

Tickets are still available for their Sabering in the Vineyard at Volcanic Hills on Friday, as well as the Valley First Spring Wine Tastings at the Rotary Centre For The Arts on Saturday, along with a whole other variety of tasting and pairing events.

This weekend Ballet Kelowna presents Macbeth after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. 

It follows the traditional Shakespearean tale, and will also mark the first time in more than 40 years that a Canadian ballet company has commissioned a female Canadian choreographer to create a full-length work. 

Check it out from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday or Saturday at the Kelowna Community Theatre.

And of course, Sunday is Mother’s Day, be sure to shout out the strong women in your life and treat them to a special lil day.
