Chilly weather this week means it’s time to bust out the winter jackets if you haven't already, as light snow is anticipated and temperatures are going to drop just below zero.
According to Environment Canada, Monday we can expect to see snow with a high of -2°C and overnight getting down to a chilly -6°C.
Tuesday is anticipated to get some periods of light snow mixed with a freezing drizzle, which is not to be confused with freezing rain.
A freezing drizzle, is a drizzle that freezes on contact with the ground or an object at or near the surface, so expect it to be slick outside and drive with caution. During the day it will be getting up to a high of -1°C, and dropping down to -2°C overnight.
Wednesday is predicted to be the warmest day of the week with a high of 2°C with a chance of flurries or rain showers, but that positive temperature is short lived as we slip back into the negatives overnight with a low of -5°C and cloudy periods in the evening.
On Thursday, the sun will begin to peak out of the clouds with an estimated high of 0°C and a low of -5°C.
