The daytime high average at this time of year is 27°C, however an unseasonal weather pattern will keep temperatures slightly cooler over the next few days.

Although we often see days of hot weather throughout July under persistent high pressure, a broad upper trough over Western Canada this week will keep a bit of everything in the forecast.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds in the morning hours, with possible isolated showers in the afternoon.

There will also be the potential for afternoon thundershowers for areas near the mountains.

Signs point to the greatest chance of showers on Wednesday.
