The BC Southern Interior will see an active weather pattern as we head into the weekend.

A persistent southwesterly flow will bring significant amounts of snow to high elevation areas over the next couple of days.

Highway travellers may want to delay their trip by a day or two for better road conditions.

Here in the valley, we will see the snow change to rain Friday afternoon when freezing levels rise and warmer air moves in.

Our mixed precipitation will ease on Saturday afternoon, and we will be in between systems Sunday morning with drier conditions.

However, signs point to another low moving in from the south on Sunday night with a risk of snow returning.
