June is the month of cold upper lows.

This means we can expect unsettled weather over the next few weeks when Mother Nature decides to constantly bring alternating warmer air and cooler air into our region.

This keeps a bit of everything in our forecast including valley showers between sunny breaks.

High elevation snow is also still possible this month.

On Friday, we will see brighter conditions to start, but then a moist southerly flow will bring rain into our region by Friday night.

As an upper low remains over the Pacific through the weekend, circulation around the upper low will continue to bring in periodic showers between sunny breaks.

Daytime highs will also be variable, with highs in the upper teens or low 20’s on Friday, but at least several degrees cooler for the weekend.
